About This Place

Nestled in the vibrant heart of Manhattan’s East Village, little uluh invites diners on a delightful culinary journey that bridges comforting diner classics with a boldly innovative Asian twist. This charming restaurant and bar stands out not only for its diverse menu but for the carefully curated atmosphere that balances buzzing energy with cozy intimacy—ideal for a relaxed brunch date or a leisurely dinner with friends.

The cuisine at little uluh is a captivating fusion of familiar flavors and unexpected delights. Their signature matcha soufflé is a feather-light cloud of airy sweetness, perfectly paired with a rich coffee or a sunny side up matcha latte that boasts an earthy, creamy depth. For lovers of savory indulgence, the Black Truffle Mushroom Pasta seduces with its silky texture and fragrant, umami-rich truffle notes. Equally compelling is the Soft Shell Crab Pasta, which combines the delicate crunch of fresh crab with a luscious sauce, providing a dynamic play of textures.

Breakfast and brunch aficionados will delight in their Strawberry Soufflé Pancakes, a playful reinterpretation of the classic pancake stack, bursting with fresh berry sweetness and pillowy softness. Heartier options like the Beef Burger and Chicken Curry offer satisfying, robust flavors that linger pleasantly on the palate, while truffle fries add an irresistible, aromatic crunch that perfectly complements any meal.

little uluh’s menu is thoughtfully rounded out with vibrant salads such as the Quinoa Salad featuring an intriguing blend of apple, chickpeas, kidney beans, and arugula tossed in rosemary dressing, and the Dai Style Shrimp Salad, where juicy jumbo shrimp meet a refreshing spicy passion fruit dressing—each bite a perfect balance of fresh and bold.

Tea enthusiasts will appreciate the meticulously selected traditional teas, ranging from the soft, sweet premium Golden Monkey Black Tea to the refreshing Taiwan Dong Ding Oolong Tea. These brews elevate the dining experience with their subtle complexities, inviting guests to savor moments of calm amid Manhattan’s hustle.

The beverage offerings themselves echo the menu’s inventive spirit. The Black Sesame Matcha Latte, enriched with boba pearls, offers a harmonious blend of nutty, bitter, and sweet flavors, although some patrons note the pearls could be a bit softer to perfect the textural contrast. For coffee lovers, options like the Sunny Side Up Caffe Latte and a well-pulled cappuccino satisfy the need for refined, comforting caffeine experiences.

Guests repeatedly highlight little uluh’s warm and attentive service, with staff eager to share the story behind their unique dishes and welcome feedback—a testament to the brand’s commitment to evolving based on customer input. While a few have experienced minor service inconsistencies, the overall ambiance remains inviting and relaxed, perfectly suited for those who appreciate a balance of intimacy and vibrancy.

In essence, little uluh is a distinctive Manhattan hotspot where every dish tells a story—combining playful creativity, thoughtful ingredients, and a welcoming vibe. Whether you’re coming for an indulgent breakfast, an adventurous lunch, or a peaceful evening with a comforting cup of tea, this restaurant promises a memorable encounter with flavors that surprise, delight, and satisfy on every level.

We went there for dinner, which was probably not the most popular time, but it was quiet and we could chat happily with a normal volume. We got cheese corn rib, soft shell crab pasta and burger, and some drinks, I got black sesame matcha latte with boba. For dessert we got the honeycomb soufflé. The black sesame matcha latte was awesome, but the boba was a bit hard to chew, I feel like it could use another minute or two in the pot. Cheese corn rib was delicious but a bit heavy. Soft shell crab burger was great, and the fries were well done as well. The soufflé was nice and fluffy, maybe too fluffyI felt like I could have another dessert after that.

You cannot possibly go wrong here. There is something for everyone and they definitely incorporate feedback. I remember mentioning at the soft opening that it would be cute if they did waffles for a chicken and waffle brunch since they already have great wings and I don't get why more asian places don't offer their take on a spicy chicken biscuit sando or pair korean double fried chicken wings in the soy-garlic marinade with waffles. Lo and behold, chicken and waffle is now on their brunch menu. My foodie family absolutely loved the truffle pasta, both types of fries, the soft shell crab pasta, the souffle pancakes, bubble teas, and so forth. I have taken friends, family, and my students here for any manner of occasion including my own birthday.

Absolutely in love with this place! Great atmosphere and even better food. Stuff is very competent and friendly. I had strawberry soufflé with coffee and definitely will be back for some dinner options in the future! Thank you for having me!

The menu looks amazing — so many creative dishes! The Dai Style Shrimp Salad and Black Truffle Mushroom pasta are already on my must-try list.

I liked the somewhat unique breakfast options such as soft shell crab and souffle pancakes. Both were prepared very well, however I thought the way they were served with too many strong toppings and seasoning covered their unique flavors. The infusions were fine, but expensive for what they are. The waiter who took out order was very engaged, but the bussers failed to do basic things like give share plates.

Went here to eat brunch with my friend! I never had a soft shell crab burger before in my life so I decided to try it! I liked it a lot, it was very yummy. Definitely can see why its one of their reocmmended dishes. I also got their latte cloud drink and it was a 10/10. My friend got the salmon rice dish and we both enjoyed it it much.
